Not long ago, I was notified that my flight to Paris has been changed. I now leave at 6:30 pm and arrive at 10:00 am. Nothing has changed with my ongoing flight to Madrid, so that cuts into my limited sightseeing time in Paris in a big way. I think I will still have time to get into town and take a bus tour, but maybe no hopping off and on. I will need to be headed back to the airport by 3:30. The one place I would really like to see, though, is Shakespeare and Co. book store, and the bus goes near there, so we will see. Once tax season slows down I can spend more time on planning that part of the trip.
As for the Spain part, I haven't settled on anything before/after VT, either. I would like to get to Toledo...or go back to Segovia (since I didn't see much there in 2012 due to knee pain). I am also thinking about taking the train to Valencia, maybe stopping in Cuenca along the way. Former VT buddies live in both cities. I don't feel like I have a lot of time afterward, and I haven't talked to Jorge about if he will be available. If so, maybe I could meet up with him in Valladolid to finish the things we didn't have time for, or something else. Lots of possibilities.
EDIT: I recently found out that if your airline changes your flight by more than 90 minutes, you can get it changed to a better flight at no cost, even on a different airline. I need to investigate this. Maybe I can change my arrival time in Paris and retrieve part of my missing time before heading on to Spain.
